Silicon Metal is silver gray or dark gray powder with metallic luster, which be of high melting point, good heat resistance, high resistivity and superior oxidation resistance,which is a very important industrial product can be used in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum (aviation, aircraft & automobile parts production), and silicon optoelectronic device and many other industries. It's made from quartz and coke in electric heating furnace smelting products. The main ingredient of silicon content is about 98%. The rest of impurities is iron, aluminum and calcium etc.
Introduction
Silicon metal 97 is off-grade silicon. In the metal silicon 97, the silicon content should be as high as 97%.
The contents of iron, aluminum, and calcium are 1.5% , 0.9% , and 0.3%
It is mainly used in the production of aluminum ingots.Adding silicon metal to aluminium alloys makes them strong and light.
Silicon metal 97 generally the diameter is 10-50mm,50-100mm,10-100mm or other sizes as customer’s request.
